Flat Sawing

A flat saw, also referred to as a slab saw or a road saw, is a walk behind machine with a blade mounted on a spindle. Common flat saw uses include cutting asphalt, trenches to install pipes below grade, and removal or large areas of slab to allow for new concrete surfaces.

Electric powered saws are used for interior cutting while diesel saws handle outdoor needs. Every Moore Concrete Cutting box truck has it’s own power source for 480 3phase power. This technique is commonly used in concrete slab on grade, as well as suspended slab, precast concrete, asphalt, and bridge decks. Our flat saws have the capability of cutting up to 24” deep.
